Welcome to the website of Tundra Gas. Our company was formed to exploit an energy source we believe will transform the way the world obtains its electricity in the 21st century: methane hydrate. We believe we can address the problems of dwindling global oil supplies, climate change and air pollution through the exploitation of an abundant natural resource that provides a clean fuel that is ideally suited for electricity generating plants of almost any size.

EARTHQUAKE UPDATE

All of us at Tundra Gas are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan on March 11, 2011. We are relieved to report that no one working for the company has been harmed although we are aware of colleagues losing friends and family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have suffered.

It has been decided at an emergency board meeting that our planned relocation of our explorations and productions office to Qinghai, China will take place several months ahead of schedule as the situation in Tokyo remains uncertain. Our telephone, fax and email remain operational and most staff are able to telecommute or work from our research partner's office in Yokohama. None of our business plans have been adversely affected by the recent natural disasters. We feel we owe it to our host country to resume work now that we have regrouped, and together we can help Japan recover from the traumatic events of March 11.
